Once upon a time, in the depths of the jungle, there was a special school where all the animals went. Among them was Eve, a sweet and tall giraffe, who went to school every day with joy.
Because of her height, the teacher had made her take the last desk, which was only natural, so as not to hide the board from the other students. She didn't mind at all! From there she could see the whole class, whisper jokes to her friends, Lila the bunny and Zoe the monkey, and throw little paper messages with jokes to Fanis the elephant!
And the days went by... But Eve felt that something strange was happening to her eyes as she began to not see very clearly. Until one day...
"Oh no! What does the board say?" Eve muttered, squinting her eyes.
She tried to read the word the teacher, Betty the wise owl, was writing, but the letters seemed to her... to dance! One went right...another left...another up...another down...
"Miss, could I come to the first desk to see better?" asked Eve.
"Why, of course," replied Mrs. Betty.
Eve, happily grabbed her things and headed towards the front desk.
But as soon as she sat down, trouble began:
"I can't see anything" cried Mina the turtle sitting right behind her.
"I see a big splashy neck" added Fanis the elephant.
Eve made an attempt to duck, so that her classmates could see, but no matter how hard she tried, her neck was so long that it still covered the painting.
"Should I curl up a little?" She thought aloud and tried to lower herself as much as she could.
"Now I can only see ears!" grumbled Fanis.
"Oh, but now you're gripping two desks!" cried Lina the bunny, trying not to trip over Eve's feet.
The whole class burst out laughing! Evie didn't know what to do. She looked around and felt ashamed and embarrassed. What was it that had happened to her?
"I'm sorry, Eve," said Mrs. Betty kindly, "but I think the front desk is not the best solution!"
Eve lowered her head with disappointment.
"Now what am I going to do? If I can't read the board, how am I supposed to take notes?"

The problems didn't end there. At recess, as they were playing hide and seek, instead of running to hide, she ran into Fanny the elephant by accident.
"Eve, how could you not see me? I'm a whole elephant!" Fanis laughed.
And the next day in class, she tried to draw a butterfly, but what she made looked more like broccoli!
"Hmm, something is definitely wrong," muttered Eve.
When she returned home, her mother was watching her with concern. Eve usually left her school bag next to her desk, but now her bag landed on the bed, her jacket on the floor and her house keys on the chair.
"Eve, sweety, what's wrong? Is there something wrong with your eyes?" Her mother asked her anxiously.
"Me? No, I can see just fine!" she replied and slumped down on the table.
"I think we have to see Mr. Rudy, the eye doctor. Maybe you need to get glasses." Her mom tenderly advised her.
Eve blinked in surprise.
"Glasses? But giraffes don't wear glasses!"
"Of course they do! Anyone who can't see well needs glasses, whether they're a lion, a monkey, or... a giraffe!" her mother said with a laugh.
That same day Eve visited Rudy, the capybara, the jungle’s eye doctor.
She tried different glasses: round, square, big, small, red, blue, even a pair with gold designs on the edges! She liked them all!
"Wow! These glasses... they make me look great!" she said happily.
The next day at school, everyone looked at her with admiration.
“Eve, you look fantastic!” said Zoe.
“How stylish!” added Mina.
“I also want a pair!” said Fanis the elephant, wiggling his ears.
Even Mrs. Betty, the teacher , smiled and said to her : "Your glasses not only helped you to see clearly, but also to stand out! They give you a different vibe!"

From that day on, Eve could see the board clearly, played, painted and even created her own unique style! Each morning, she would carefully choose which of her glasses to wear - sometimes the red ones, sometimes the blue ones, and sometimes the ones with a gold design on their edges that made her feel like a real star!
“I would never have imagined that glasses could make me so beautiful!” she confided to her mother.
“Eve, it's not just the glasses that make you special...you look great anyway!” her mom said with a smile. Evesmiled broadly and, while looking at herself in the mirror, she realized that her true beauty does not root from her glasses, but in her confidence and uniqueness!
